From the brochure:

In 1924 William Faulkner prensented a sheaf of twelve typewritten poems and a seven-page essay to Myrtle Ramey, a former schoolmate and childhood friend. He titled the verses "Mississippi Poems" and the essay, which set forth his youthful and exalted view of poetry, "Verse, Old and Nascent: A Pilgrimage." He authographed each poem for her, and Phil Stone, his literary agent, wrote a copyright notice on each title page. Faulkner subsequently published nine of the poems, although in altered versions. Three of the poems in the facsimile edition are published for the first time.

Included in the volume are Faulkner's essay on poetry and an introduction by Joseph Blotner, Faulkner's biographer. Yoknapatawpha Press is proud to publish William Faulkner's "Mississippi Poems" in a facsimile of the original manuscripts, from the Louis Daniel Brodsky Collection.
