Paperback. Signed. At some point, we look up and wonder if we’re climbing the right mountain.
Jason Prendergast is a small-town boy from northeastern Vermont who held his blue-collar
world in the palm of his never-clean hands at twenty-six. He had survived everything life threw
at him until one morning, he woke to find it all gone. His identity, once woven into something
larger than himself, had disappeared overnight.
Standing at a crossroads, Jason faced a choice: take the familiar path and rebuild what was
lost, or risk everything on the climb toward a life he only dreamed about. Choosing the latter
would demand every ounce of belief, resilience, and courage he had left.
A nationally recognized, award-winning PGA Professional, Jason would go on to achieve more
than he once dreamed: titles, respect, and a career he loved. But his pursuit of greatness
revealed something more profound: that success and greatness are not the same mountain.
From milking cows to golf operations at storied clubs and hosting a PGA TOUR event for more
than a decade, Dream Driven traces a journey through fear, loss, mentorship, and rediscovery.
Part memoir, part mirror, Jason’s story uses the game of golf as a mirror for life, revealing
what it means to lose yourself and begin again. He invites readers to dream big, believe in
their future self, and keep climbing, because there is more waiting for us than we can imagine.
Jason Prendergast is a PGA Professional, author, speaker, and mentor whose career in golf has spanned more than two decades. Originally from Vermont and a graduate of Mississippi State University’s Professional Golf Management Program, Jason mentored under the legendary Bob Ford at Oakmont for two years and spent twenty years as Head PGA Professional at The Country Club of Jackson.
Jason is the author of Dream Driven: Toward the Self Not Yet Met, a memoir exploring fear, identity, mentorship, resilience, and the moments that quietly shape our lives. A four-time Gulf States PGA Merchandiser of the Year (twice a national finalist) and recipient of the Gulf States PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award for mentorship, he now speaks on leadership, personal growth, and the moments that shape us.
